We are now looking for an experienced HR Manager to strengthen our HR team and contribute to our company’s growth and success.
Role Overview
As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing VEO’s HR processes, tools and practices. You act as a strategic and operational partner for our managers, ensuring that HR operations support business goals while promoting a positive and professional employee experience.
You will play a central role in resolving various change situations together with the HR team and managers. You will ensure that the organization’s HR practices are up to date and fit for purpose. You have a broad interest in labor market issues and keep a close eye on developments in the field.
You will work closely with the Nordic HR team and report directly to VEO Group's HR Director.
We are seeking an individual with solid experience in handling demanding tasks related to collective agreements and employment legislation, as well as in leading cooperation and dialogue, preferably within the technology industry. You have an independent yet highly collaborative working style. You build trust, understand people’s motivations, and possess strong negotiation skills. You take initiative and get things done.
This role requires working on-site at Vaasa headquarters, with occasional travel to other VEO locations in Finland, Sweden and Norway to support collaboration across the company. Remote work is also possible according to our hybrid working policy.
Key Responsibilities
Support managers in all HR-related matters (including employment matters, change situations, early support models, work ability management).
Consult with business and functional leaders in areas such as organizational assessment, succession planning, organizational structure, workforce planning and change management in order to strengthen overall organizational capability
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, local and collective agreements
Develop HR processes, policies and operating models
Collaborate with occupational health care, insurance partners and payroll (outsourced)
Contribute to HR reporting and take part in HR projects and group-level policy development. Utilise HR data and metrics to support decision‑making and implement development actions together with the business.
Act as a skilled partner in cooperation and negotiations with employee representatives, including e.g. local agreements and constructive dialogue with shop stewards
What We Expect From You
5+ years of experience in demanding HR roles as HR Manager, HR Generalist or HR consultant
A broad HR generalist background covering the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition to employee relations and operations.
Strong expertise in supporting managers and developing HR practices
Solid understanding and experience in interpreting of labor law and relevant collective agreements
Proven experience in collaboration and negotiations with employee representatives and handling local agreements and change situations
Experience working with HR systems and data
Ability to work independently and act as a trusted partner to management
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Suitable education in HR e.g. Business Administration, Behavioral Sciences or an equivalent field, and you have actively maintained your expertise
Fluency in Finnish and English, Swedish is seen as an advantage
