Electrical Engineer – Are you interested in electrical design for international renewable energy projects?
We are looking for a new Senior System Engineer to join VEO’s Engineering Unit. Due to our strong growth, we can offer you an excellent opportunity to become part of our energetic team and work on interesting and diverse design projects. At VEO, you’ll have the chance to strengthen your expertise and continuously learn new things.
In this role, you will focus on designing electrical and automation solutions for the control systems of engine power plants. Your work will include projects ranging from designing systems for new power plants to modernizing existing ones. You will work both independently and as part of our close‑knit design team, where we solve even the most challenging tasks together. You will also collaborate closely with our customers and our in‑house panel manufacturing team.
What do we expect from you?
A degree in electrical engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a design and project team
Experience in electrical design and design tools (e.g., Vertex ED, AutoCAD)
Experience with protection systems and protection relays
Knowledge of UL standards
Fluent skills in Finnish and English
To succeed in this role, you need a strong technical background and several years of relevant design experience. You have solid problem‑solving skills and take ownership of your tasks and projects. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is adaptable and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. The ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail will help you excel.
Travel is not required for this role, but you will have the opportunity to take part in commissioning activities and see your designs come to life in practice.
