We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to join our hydropower team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the success of international customer projects, ensuring that technical solutions meet high standards while remaining cost-effective. About the role
As a Lead Engineer, you ensure that the implementation of technical solutions for hydropower projects is as agreed and balanced with costs and customer needs. You will work closely with various stakeholders—including customers, contractors, and internal departments—to ensure successful project execution.
You will lead overall design activities, monitor progress, and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires occasional travel, mainly within Sweden and Norway.

Work tasks
Leading and prioritizing the design team’s tasks and overall engineering activities.
Technical design: Designing electrical and automation systems, including turbine and generator control.
Project management support: Managing resource planning, schedules, and technical "freezing points" in cooperation with Project Managers.
Quality & Compliance: Approving design documentation and ensuring adherence to laws and standards.
Testing & Risk Management: Planning and participating in FAT/SAT testing and managing technical risks.
We are looking for
A strong technical background, preferably a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
Several years of experience in lead engineering or similar senior positions.
Solid experience specifically within hydropower or other power plant environments.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD, Febdok).
Knowledge of relevant laws and standards (e.g., IEC, DOK80).
Fluency in Finnish and English; Swedish is considered a significant advantage.
