Lead the future of smart and sustainable work environments
We are looking for a Head of Facilities to take overall responsibility for developing and leading facility management across VEO Group’s Nordic operations.
In this key leadership role, you will ensure that our facilities, workplaces, and environments support business growth, operational excellence, safety, and sustainability. The role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on leadership and includes acting as Vaasa Office Manager and Managing Director of VEO Kiinteistöt Oy.
This role requires working on-site at Vaasa headquarters, with occasional travel to other VEO locations in Finland, Sweden and Norway to support collaboration across the company. Remote work is also possible according to our hybrid working policy.
Your role and responsibilities
As Head of Facilities, you will operate at both strategic and operational levels across the Group.
Global Facility Management (Nordics)
Lead and develop VEO’s facility management strategy across multiple locations
Own and optimize facility-related budgets, investments, and cost efficiency
Drive initiatives in sustainability, energy efficiency, maintenance, and long-term space planning
Define and manage facility-related risk management, safety, and physical security frameworks
Ensure compliance with legislation, audits, and regulatory requirements
Develop and harmonize vendor management and service delivery models
Coordinate a network of local facility and office managers
Vaasa Office Manager
Manage daily operations and development of VEO’s headquarters in Vaasa
Oversee facility maintenance, contracts, and service providers
Ensure safe, efficient, and well-functioning office environments
Develop building operations, systems (e.g. BMS), and energy efficiency solutions
Lead physical security, access control, and risk assessments
Support employees with workplace-related services and ensure clear communication of policies
Act as the contact person for conferencing systems and office services
Managing Director – VEO Kiinteistöt Oy
Take full statutory responsibility for the subsidiary’s operations and governance
Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and governance structures
Manage property-related financial performance, budgets, and reporting
Oversee property lifecycle management, including maintenance and investments
Build alignment between property operations and VEO Group business needs
Prepare and present matters to the Board
Indirect Procurement & Services
Lead and optimize indirect procurement across VEO Group
Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead negotiations with suppliers
Oversee reception services at the Vaasa site
What we expect from you
We are looking for a structured and business-driven leader with the ability to combine strategy, operations, and stakeholder collaboration.
You bring:
Experience in multi-site or international facility management
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach
Understanding of facility-related legislation, compliance, and risk management
Experience in vendor management, contracts, and negotiations
Knowledge of facility systems (e.g. security, HVAC, building systems) is an advantage
Systematic way of working and strong documentation skills
Fluency in Finnish and English (Swedish is considered an asset)
